Who runs this service

Information we use

• Your license or trial: the app sends a SHA-256 digest of a VIP license key rather than the full key. Trial redemption sends its claim code, and each photo check uses a one-time attempt ID. The server keeps license status, expiry and usage records, plus hashes needed to verify these values. Website recovery forms may process the proof you submit.
• Your app installation: the app creates a random 256-bit installation ID, keeps it in secure app storage, and sends it over HTTPS for license and trial checks. The server stores its SHA-256 hash to count active VIP installations and associate trial use with that install. It is not a hardware, serial-number or advertising ID. Erasing secure app data can create a new ID, so the same phone can appear as a new installation.
• Your Paddle purchase: Paddle order, customer, and subscription IDs, and the payment result. We use these to confirm your purchase, provide access, and help recover your key.
• Connection details: the service and its hosting provider may process your IP address, standard request headers, and request time to deliver requests, apply rate limits, and investigate security problems.

Your photos

Your selected photos stay on your device. The app checks and edits them there. The DV Photo Validator licensing server does not receive your photo files.

Why we use it

We use this information to give you trial or VIP access, check your key, count your photo checks, apply device limits, help with key recovery, prevent misuse, and meet legal or accounting duties. Privacy laws may allow this because you asked us to provide the service, because we must follow the law, or because we need to protect the service.

The app checks license status, trial use, expiry dates, and installation limits. Each VIP license has an active installation limit configured by the service operator, and the app shows the current count and limit. Reusing a registered ID counts as the same installation. A new distinct ID is denied when all slots are occupied; this does not lock the license or revoke existing installations. If the limit changes, existing installations are not automatically revoked. Payments

Paddle may ask for your name and email to take payment and send a receipt. We receive Paddle IDs and the payment result so we can give you the right access.

Who we share it with and how long we keep it

We do not sell your personal information. We share only what is needed with Paddle, the companies that run our website and database, and authorities when the law requires it. Some providers may store or use information in another country. If the law requires extra protection for this, we will use it.

We keep license, purchase, and security records while we need them to provide access, help recover keys, protect the service, settle disputes, or follow the law. We delete them when they are no longer needed. Some records may stay in backups or security logs for a limited time.

Cookies

Our website uses necessary cookies to keep forms and security checks working. Paddle may use cookies during checkout. We do not use advertising cookies on this website.

Keeping information safe

We limit who can access our records and use security measures to protect them. No online service can promise perfect security. Keep your license key and Paddle IDs private.

Your rights depend on where you live. You may be able to ask us to show, correct, or delete your information, or to stop or limit some uses. Email us using the address above.
